Oirase Stream is a beautiful place not only during the fresh greenery and autumn foliage seasons, but also in winter. Since there is no elevation difference between the walkway and the river, like in a gorge, Choshi-otaki Falls, just a 30-second walk from the car, is the premier spot along Oirase Stream. While it gets crowded during peak season, winter makes it a hidden gem with fewer visitors.
