Mama Chubo, a Chinese restaurant located along National Route 1, roughly halfway between JR Oiso Station and JR Ninomiya Station. While it's not a place you'd typically walk to, if you're driving, riding a motorcycle, or cycling nearby and looking for lunch (and don't mind Chinese food), it comes highly recommended. We had lunch there as a group of three that day, and both the clay pot rice from the lunch set and the jjajangmyeon were absolutely delicious. They can also tone down the spiciness, so I think many of the menu items are suitable even for those who aren't fond of spicy food. However, the portions are very large, so it's best to go with a fairly empty stomach. If you can't finish your meal, it seems you can ask the staff to let you take the leftovers home.
