Personally, when I hear "Kawasaki," keywords like factories and industry come to mind, and it's not a place I'd typically think of for leisurely strolls or outings. However, when I had business in Hiyoshi, located almost on the border between Yokohama and Kawasaki, I took a short walk nearby. I came across the Yagami River, which seems to be a tributary of the Tsurumi River system, and the area along this river had a rather pleasant atmosphere. The contrast between the steel towers, the river, and the clear winter sky emphasized a sense of melancholy and wabi-sabi, creating a scene that evoked a restless, yearning feeling—like wanting to hurry home.
