The JR West Obama Line connects Higashi-Maizuru Station in Kyoto with Tsuruga Station in Fukui Prefecture. Since the train runs straight through the landscape between the sea and the mountains, you’ll never get tired of the ever-changing scenery. I wish they would promote JR local trains more as an excellent mode of transportation for leisurely travel (lol). Furthermore, I think that keeping the train windows as clean as possible might have a positive impact on encouraging more tourists to visit regional areas.
