Just a minute's walk from JR Yoyogi Station's East Exit lies the famous drinking district known as "Almost Shinjuku Noren Street," created by renovating old houses and warehouses into a noren street. Within this area is a Thai restaurant called "Charcoal-Grilled Asian Bar: The Aloi Brothers." While the entire noren street gets quite crowded on both weekdays and holidays, The Aloi Brothers often has one or two seats available. But don't assume the food is just average—every dish is incredibly delicious and relatively affordable. Their Gai Yang (charcoal-grilled chicken) and Pad Thai are so good you absolutely must order them. Inside, the seating is quite cramped and somewhat cluttered, but if you don't mind that street-food vibe, this is a highly recommended Thai restaurant.
