In my personal opinion, it's the most beautiful lake in Tochigi, and perhaps even ranks among the top in Japan. Its name, Yunoko (Lake Yunoko), is charming, yet it remains relatively unknown. While it's about 30km (just under 50 minutes by car) from Nikko Toshogu Shrine, making it a bit far for a casual stop, I highly recommend visiting. Taking about an hour to leisurely walk around the lake offers just the right amount of exercise and plenty of relaxation – it's absolutely wonderful.
