Sushiya Maruishi: Delicious Conveyor-Belt Sushi on Sado Island

Based on my own personal research, I found two places on Sado Island that serve delicious sushi at reasonable prices. One of them is Sushiya Maruishi. Of course, the sushi is made with locally caught fish from Sado and Koshihikari rice. Compared to the other place, Benkei Sado Main Store, this one is even more affordable, so you can enjoy high-end fish without hesitation. And, above all, everything is delicious. They open at 4:30 p.m., and when I arrived at 5:00 p.m. on a weekday, there were already 7 or 8 groups there, and by around 6:00 p.m., the place was nearly full. Since this restaurant doesn’t take reservations either, I highly recommend arriving early.
