Japan has many trains that run along the coast, and the Tango Railway Miyazu Line connecting Toyooka Station in Hyogo Prefecture to Nishi-Maizuru Station in Kyoto is one of them. The Tango Railway Miyazu Line is divided into the Miyato Line from Toyooka Station to Miyazu Station and the Keima Line from Miyazu Station to Nishiyamamaizuru Station. Therefore, the first half mainly traverses mountainous terrain, while the latter half focuses on coastal views. This train journey offers the best of both worlds: you can enjoy the lush, rolling ridges and countryside, followed by the equally blue and tranquil expanse of the Sea of Japan.
