Along with the nearby Kitami Hikawa Shrine and Unane Hikawa Shrine, it is collectively known as the Three Hikawa Shrines. This Okura Hikawa Shrine always evokes memories of my childhood summers with the atmosphere of its approach stairs. It feels Ghibli-esque, or perhaps Totoro-esque; I suspect it overlaps with some kind of visual memory. The shrine grounds are compact yet exude a strong sense of refinement, clearly cherished by the local community.
