Shikisai no Mori, located in Machida Yakushi-ike Park in Machida City, Tokyo. The expansive grounds feature Yakushi-ike Park, centered around Yakushi Pond; the West Garden, which houses cafes, restaurants, craft workshops, and lounges; and a botanical garden featuring peonies and ebine orchids. Walking paths connect each area, and these paths are truly pleasant to walk on. It’s a great spot to have a picnic in the open plaza or relax on a blanket, and the gently undulating trails are perfect for a light hike. Personally, I find the best routine is to work up a light sweat and then take a break in the West Garden.
