Okamoto Hachiman Shrine greets visitors with its striking 48-step stone staircase. Visiting during the autumn festival, I was able to admire the splendid kagura hall. The komainu guardian dogs are dignified yet somehow endearing. It leaves an impression as a compact yet deeply charming shrine. There's also a stone lantern donated by Yumi Matsutoya (known as Yuming) and her husband, Masataka Matsutoya. Since their home is nearby, it's also said to be a shrine connected to Yuming.
