Hokkaido Route 46, the Ebetsu-Eniwa Line, connects Ebetsu City and Eniwa City. As I was cycling along this road, with endless pastures stretching out on both sides, I began to sense that the scattered raindrops were about to turn into a downpour. It was truly a close call—I managed to slip into the quirky soft-serve ice cream shop at Kobayashi Farm just in time, and within 40 minutes of stepping inside, it started pouring. I ordered a soft-serve ice cream made half with milk and half with yogurt, along with a matcha latte—they were refreshing and delicious! The view from the window was lovely, too! With a cow figurine watching over me, I took a break there until the rain stopped and the sky cleared. The pastures after the rain were beautiful. It was such a luxurious way to wait out the rain.
