The Deep Blue of Aomori's Blue Pond
I'd assumed it was "probably just heavily edited photos" until I saw it with my own eyes, but it was truly blue and I was genuinely shocked. Pools with clear water and good light refraction tend to look blue to some extent, so I imagine blue pools exist all over the country. But Aomori's Blue Pond was truly a deep, profound blue. The surrounding beech forests and Oirase Gorge are also deeply clear and serene, making this a rare spot where you can enjoy light exercise while simultaneously feeling deeply refreshed.
