While searching for lodging in Nagahama, I found HOTEL R9 The Yard Nagahama, located just under a 15-minute walk from the station. It seemed plain but clean, so I decided to stay here. Hmm, it's way cleaner than I imagined! It's only been open a few years, but as my first time staying in a container-style hotel in the city center, I was amazed by its cleanliness. Any sense of plainness was quickly overshadowed by its convenience. Since only a double room was available this time, it was about ¥8,700 for room only. Single rooms seem to start from ¥6,700. You can choose one frozen snack, there's a coin laundry and vending machines, and a drugstore right in front, so you won't have any trouble resting up.
