I happened to pass by the Chitose Waste Treatment Plant and snapped a photo because its smokestack looked surprisingly picturesque among the autumn-colored trees. A smokestack purifying exhaust gases before releasing them into the atmosphere, paired with autumn foliage—it sounds like an odd combination just in words, yet somehow it looks strangely appealing.
