Asahiya Parlor: The Gambling-Themed Chic Cafe in Front of Shoin Shrine

I was quite hesitant about whether to recommend this shop. That's because reviews are split down the middle. From what I could gather from online feedback, it seems there are a few house rules, and whether you click with the staff plays a big role (it might depend on the staff's mood or how crowded the shop is). When I visited on a weekday, the staff were quite friendly, and the green view from the 1st floor window was fantastic. Both the coffee float and the lychee tea float were delicious. So, if you like taking chances, definitely consider it lol. Based on the reviews, it seems bringing kids or working on your laptop isn't allowed. Also, it's probably best to avoid peak times, so weekdays seem like a better bet.
