Sakura-Shinmachi Station on the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line features a main street (formerly the Oyama Kaido) lined with a substantial number of cherry trees on both sides. These trees have become a symbol worthy of the station's name, and every April, the "Sakura Festival" draws large crowds. While famous as the town of Sazae-san due to the Hasegawa Machiko Museum, the cherry blossoms themselves are actually quite prominent. The station front street is lined with various shops, primarily restaurants, making a stroll around the cherry tree-lined area quite enjoyable.
