It’s such a wonderful place that I can’t help but envy the people who live here. I had absolutely no prior knowledge of Yokohama’s Midori Ward, but I was so impressed that I found myself wondering if there are still so many lovely places like this left in Japan. Of course, compared to the metropolitan areas around Yokohama Station or certain parts of Tokyo, it might be dismissed as the countryside, but I even feel that this “countryside within the city” might actually be the best thing for one’s mental well-being. While strolling around, I saw many junior high school students who had (presumably) just finished their club activities, and I found myself looking forward to seeing how the children living here will grow up. Wow, what a wonderful place this is.
