On our third day on Sado Island, we left our lodging just after 7:00 a.m. without eating breakfast, determined to explore the southern area early in the morning. However, since I had researched beforehand that the nearby “Saredo Onigiri Kanai” opened at 7:30 a.m., we went there just after 7:30. It was indeed open at 7:30! Since there was only one other group ahead of us, we immediately ordered the “Saredo Onigiri O-Sado Set” (950 yen). There were one or two other customers ordering takeout, but our two sets were served in about 10 minutes. At first glance, I was thrilled—this was the perfect breakfast! Sado’s Koshihikari rice is delicious no matter how many times I eat it. The salted mackerel, the dashimaki tamago, and the pork miso soup were all delicious. Thank you for the wonderful breakfast.
