Joshin-ji Temple is personally one of my top two most frequently visited temples in Setagaya. The approach path appears immediately upon exiting Kuhonbutsu Station on the Ooimachi Line, making it very easy to find even for first-time visitors. It offers distinct charm throughout the seasons, but especially during autumn's foliage season, it takes on a particularly splendid appearance, making it quite crowded on holidays. Unlike shrines, temples outside major tourist destinations like Kyoto or Nara can often feel a bit intimidating to enter. However, Joshin-ji is very welcoming; you can freely enter the main hall and listen to the teachings. It's definitely worth a visit, not just for those living nearby, but even for those traveling from afar.
