The Yatsugatake Kogen Bridge—a spot where you’ll want to get out of the car and take in the view
The “Hokuto Yatsugatake Park Line” runs north to south through Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture. Along this road, there is a bridge that offers an exceptionally stunning view of the highlands. The Yatsugatake Kogen Bridge. To the north of the bridge lies Mount Yatsugatake, while to the south are Mount Fuji and the Southern Alps. And right before your eyes—and stretching out below—the trees of the highlands spread out, offering a view brimming with the majesty of nature. The autumn foliage and the snow-covered winter scenery are particularly breathtaking and highly recommended. There is a free parking lot at the northern end of the bridge, making it the perfect spot to take a break during your drive. Be sure to stop by when sightseeing in the Kiyosato area or along the Koumi Line.
