Sunset as seen from Meiji Bridge spanning the Kitakami River

I visited a cherry blossom spot in Morioka City called Keiji Sakura, located along the Kitakami River. Since it was the middle of summer and the cherry blossoms weren’t in bloom, I didn’t expect much, but just as I arrived, the sky was beginning to turn crimson—a pleasant surprise. The sunset view across Meiji Bridge from Keiji Sakura was simply magnificent. The Kitakami River was also very beautiful, and the summer atmosphere was wonderful. Still, the scenery might be even more beautiful in the spring. It’s one of the great spots to fully enjoy Morioka’s beautiful scenery.
