I visited the Paper Expo Tokyo for the first time, a grand festival celebrating paper-based goods. Though the Paper Expo began in April 2017, this Tokyo event was its 8th iteration, with previous shows held in Kyoto and Osaka. The venue, the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center Taito Hall, is about a 5-minute walk from Asakusa Station on the Tokyo Metro. Spanning three floors (4th to 6th), it boasts an incredible number of people and shops. But don't worry, it's not so crowded you can't move around. And the quality of the paper goods at every single shop was exceptionally high. Even as a minimalist-style person, I found myself buying quite a few paper goods (I also bought a print I fell in love with at first sight, which I hadn't expected at all). I strongly felt this is an event I should visit every year.
