For some reason, I'm drawn to the area from Hamadayama to Kugayama along the Inokashira Line and visit often. Despite being urban, it has abundant greenery and feels like a livable town. With many independent shops, I never tire of returning. I also frequently visit Kugayama Inari Shrine in Kugayama as an extension of that area. The striking aprons worn by the fox messengers are particularly charming. During the summer festival, it hosts Suginami Ward's only Yunohana Kagura ritual, where water is boiled in a cauldron and used in the ceremony. I love the calming atmosphere of this shrine for some reason.
