I decided to visit Matsubayato Park on a whim, and it turned out to be a much denser forest than I had imagined. It’s hard to believe it’s located in an urban residential area right next to the railroad tracks—the trees are so thickly packed, and the grounds are quite spacious. I think it took me just under 30 minutes to leisurely walk around the park twice on different routes, and during that time, I felt as if I’d lost track of where I was. It’s not the kind of park where you can casually hang out and play, but I think it’s a rare place where you can truly enjoy high-quality forest bathing.
