For me, who had imagined it would be overflowing with eyeglass shops, the coolness of Sabae Station was utterly shocking. There's literally nothing in front of the station except eyeglass sculptures lol. Even though it handles 90% of Japan's frame production, eyeglass shops aren't just lying around lol. Since it was lunchtime in this state, I had tempura rice bowl at the soba cafe tetote next to the station, and it was seriously delicious! Since they call themselves a soba cafe, they must be particular about their soba and tempura. If you're shocked by Sabae Station, definitely take a break at tetote.
