There is a river called the Sakai River that flows between Tokyo and Kanagawa, passing through cities such as Machida, Yokohama, Sagamihara, Yamato, and Fujisawa. The road along the river is called the Sakai River Leisurely Road. I decided to cycle along it while exploring Machida, and it turned out to be a very pleasant route. The clear, sunny weather of early spring made the experience even more enjoyable. It had a somewhat rustic, countryside feel to it, and I thought it was the perfect way to unwind from the fatigue of my daily work.
