About a 20-minute walk from JR Takao Station, up a gently sloping mountain path, lies Kōjō-ji, a Sōtō Zen temple. It’s very well-maintained and a pleasant place to spend time, even featuring a restaurant. I felt that the autumn foliage season was probably the most spectacular time to visit. I found out later that Kiyoshiro Imawano’s grave is also located here, and it seems many fans visit every year on the anniversary of his death.
