Just a 5-minute walk from Kasumi Station, nestled deep within a residential neighborhood, stands the quiet and serene Honsei-ji Temple. Its atmosphere felt so pure and peaceful that I couldn't help but step inside. Though compact, it has a deeply calming ambiance, and the stone statue of a pigeon? is quite charming. I particularly like these likely lesser-known, yet wonderful temples and shrines; they seem to express the local character without any pretense.
